Time for another baby/baby daddy comparison! Dan is still winning in the hair category, but they seem to enjoy baths equally.

Here's the first Brandt/Mama comparison. I think we have the same cheeks and chin.

Lots of changes lately--some good, some bad. First the bad news: his antenna broke today :( It was two inches long and now it's down to half an inch. Dan thinks that's reason enough to pluck out the remainder, but I'm still proud of his one long hair and won't let Danny harm it. The rest of his hair is slowing growing back in. I've been massaging his scalp in the hopes of stimulating his follicles and I think it's working!

And I don't know if he was extra hungry today or what, but he gave himself hickies on *both* arms (thus the long sleeves for the picture). He hasn't done that in months.

Now for the good news: Brandt grabbed his foot today. He's been grabbing it for a while when seated in his Bumbo or in my lap, but today was the first supine foot grab. Go Brandt! He was probably hoping to get it into his mouth.

He's also doing pushups during tummy time. Hopefully we still have a long time before crawling begins.

Final new development: Brandt is laughing up a storm lately. Dan is best at getting him going. They lay on the bed and cackle at the dogs. Brandt likes to punctuate his laughter with pterodactyle shrieks.

Day 36: Five week D/B comparison

I don't think Brandt has started looking like baby Danny yet. Yesterday my dad brought out some old photo albums and Dan thinks he looks like me...or at least, more like me than like my brother.

I think the comparisons will get more exciting as Brandt gets bigger. At least when he's grown more hair I can mimic Dan's hairdos to help level the playing field.

It really doesn't feel like it's been two weeks already, but the calendar doesn't lie. Brandt has already changed so much over the last two weeks, but it looks like he's not as far along as his pop was at this point. Check out alert baby Danny with the impressive head and arm control!
