Party animal

Brandt's friend Geddy turned one today. I can't believe how old these babies are getting! I wasn't sure what to expect of a first birthday party, but it was just like an extra large playgroup with the dads watching football in the background.

Brandt played in a pen with a bunch of other babies. For the most part it was all good, but the fun was punctuated by the walkers falling on the crawlers...or the crawlers tripping the walkers, depending on your viewpiont.

Brandt had a blast playing in Geddy's exersaucer and walker and made friends with a babyless chick. Actually, we had to wrest Brandt away from babyless chick come leaving time. They seemed mutually enamored.

For the last week, Brandt's been getting progressively better at getting himself from laying down position to sitting up position. Before now we've had to prop him up.
