Papa's birthday

Dan's too busy working to celebrate his birthday today, but Brandt and I took time to play on the deck the birthday boy recently built in the backyard. Hopefully we'll have time to buy him a grill to put on it this weekend. And then Brandt can eat his first meat.

Brandt hit the 9 month mark two days ago and had his 9 month well-baby check. He checked out just fine, but I forgot to ask if the doctor thinks B's paws are on the big side. I had my spiel all prepared, too: Now doctor, we're prepared to love an 8-foot tall baby, but we'd like to know ahead of time if that's likely to be expected of us.
